There is a wonderful view of this lavoir if you're passing on the Canal de Bourgogne. This one has a sluice for obtaining water from the canal and is also fed by rainwater from the sloping roof. There is no evidence of drying rails but there are the remains of one toilet and one fireplace.
Cheney is in department 89 - Yonne and we visited this lavoir on 12th June 2019.
