This lavoir was the first we have seen that had a toilet. The toilet is a hole in the ground where the waste dropped directly into the running water. The lavoir water source is the River Armançon which was controlled by sluice gates. The lavoir also has a fireplace for producing ash and drying clothes.
Commissey is in department 89 - Yonne and we visited this lavoir on 9th June 2019.
