This unusual looking lavoir is in the village of Enson near Brienon-sur-Armançon. Looking from the outside I was surprised to find that it was a lavoir when I looked inside.
The lavoir still has its wooden drying rails and two fireplaces. You could hear the sound of the spring water running through the oval basin. It was also fed from rainwater from the overhanging roofs.
Esnon is in department 89 - Yonne and we visited this lavoir on 17th June 2019.
