Hautvillers is a pretty and very well to do Champagne village where we found two lavoirs on 5th November 2019. Hautvillers is in department 51 - Marne.
Rue de Tahus
This is one of our favourite lavoirs. It was built in 1833 and is nicely preserved. It has a stream fed raised washing pool with overhead hanging rails. In common with other buildings in the village it has a wrought iron sign depicting the trade of the building.
Rue de Champillon
We were unable to obtain access to this lavoir so here are a couple of shots of the outside.
